Math Mind (“Math Mind”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Math Mind mobile application (the “App”).

By using the App and tapping “Accept” under this Privacy Policy, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Overview

Math Mind is an educational math practice app designed for Student Users and Parent Users. The App supports accounts, profiles, and family connections so Parent Users can manage Student Users’ learning across one or multiple devices.

There are no ads shown inside the App.

2. Account Requirements

An account is required to use the App.

• Parent Users must have their own account

• Student Users may have their own account or use a student profile under a Parent User’s account

• An account may be used across one or multiple devices

Email addresses are used for authentication and communication.

3. What Data We Collect

Account & Profile Information

Depending on how the App is used and the user’s role, we may collect and store the following information:

• Email address (for account authentication and communication)

• Account credentials

• Profile name (does not have to be a real name)

• Grade level (when applicable)

• Self-declared age

• Non-precise location (country, state, or province)

• Password (unless the user signs in using a third-party single sign-on provider)

• Family relationships and association with a Parent User or family account

App Usage & Learning Data

We collect:

• Math practice history

• Performance statistics (accuracy, speed, progress)

• Session activity

• Usage events

If an account is deleted, personally identifiable information is removed, but fully anonymized learning data may be retained to improve the quality of the App.

Device & Technical Data

We may collect limited technical data such as:

• Device identifiers

• App version

• Crash logs

• General usage events

4. How We Use Data

We use data only to:

• Authenticate users and manage accounts

• Enable family and Student–Parent relationships

• Provide math practice and progress tracking

• Improve product quality, performance, and reliability

• Communicate important service information

Student User information is only ever used to provide and improve our services.

5. Student Privacy & Advertising Commitments

We take Student User privacy seriously.

• We do not sell, lease, or trade for value any User personal information

• We do not target advertisements based on Student User data

• We do not permit behavior-based or targeted advertising in our products

• We do not allow third parties to build advertising profiles of Users

There are no ads inside the App.

6. Parent User Controls

Parent Users may:

• View, modify, or delete Student User data

• Manage Student User profiles and settings

• Delete Student User accounts or profiles

• Exercise privacy rights on behalf of Student Users

7. Marketing & Communications

We may send emails related to:

• Account authentication

• Service and security updates

• Product updates and tips

• Promotions and discounts (Parent Users only)

Marketing emails are opt-out by default, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. For users in countries or territories where explicit consent is required by law, we request and record such consent before sending marketing communications.

We do not send marketing emails to Student Users.

8. Analytics & Product Improvement

We use analytics tools to understand how the App is used and improve performance.

Analytics providers may include: Google Analytics, Google Firebase, Amplitude

Data handling:

• Product analytics: pseudonymized

• Reports and dashboards: aggregated and anonymized

Analytics data is not used to identify individual Student Users.

9. Advertising & Attribution (No In-App Ads)

• No advertisements are shown inside the App

• Advertising is targeted only at Parent Users and tutors, not Student Users

Student User data is explicitly excluded from advertising and attribution systems.

10. Data Storage & Security

• Cloud data is stored in Supabase (AWS, Canada – ca-central-1)

• Some data is stored locally on your device

Security Measures

• Data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS)

• We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards

No system is 100% secure, but we take appropriate measures to protect personal data.

11. Data Retention

• Inactive accounts are retained for 180 days after the last activity of any family member

• Upon account or profile deletion, personally identifiable information is removed

• Fully anonymized learning data may be retained to improve the quality of the App

12. Your Rights

Users have the right to:

• Access their personal data

• Correct inaccurate data

• Delete accounts or profiles (in-app)

• Request a copy of their data (via email)

• Withdraw consent where applicable

Parent Users may exercise these rights on behalf of Student Users.

13. International Users

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence.

14. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes materially:

• Users will be notified by email

• Acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy will be required when reopening the App
